Wednesday's Child: Blair

By Larry Kane
Produced by Timothy McLaughlin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Sixteen-year-old Blair is something of a daredevil. He loves cars and wants to be a mechanic some day, but these days he gets around on two wheels.

"It's called BMXing," he explains about his bicycle activity.  "You can jump off ramps, you can do tricks. One trick is called 'time machine,' where you basically hold onto the back pegs and you're spinning around like a ballerina and then you drop back, catch the front, and you ride."

Blair can be a bit shy, but his social worker, Tamara Reddick, says he's a gentleman.

"He's very polite and respectful," Reddick says of Blair, "I think one of the things that's important to him is being respectful -- because he also gives respect, he expects it in return.  And he's a gentleman. He's softspoken and he has a loving and caring heart."
