Philadelphia Runner Organizing Massive Group Run To Show Support For Boston

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Just days after the Boston Marathon explosions, a Philadelphia group is organizing a citywide event to show support.

Philadelphia Runner announced on its website that it has organized a huge group run on Thursday evening as a show of solidarity with Boston.

"We have seen a huge outpouring from the community in Philadelphia. Tons of people are asking 'what can we do?'" the website says. "After speaking to several groups in the area and other stores, it sounds like the best thing we can do is: Go for a run."

Runners will meet at various locations throughout the city at 7 p.m., and then run as a group to City Hall, where the large group run will set off from around 7:30. The run will then head down Market Street to Independence Hall.
