University of Del. Student Dies After Being Struck By Train
NEWARK, Del. (CBS) - A 20-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a freight train Saturday morning in Newark, Delaware, according to authorities.
Newark Police say the victim, who has been identified as University of Delaware student Nolan Sandlin of Dover, entered onto the tracks on the CSX rail line behind the 100 block of East Cleveland Avenue just before 7:30 a.m. He was then struck by the train traveling westbound
The victim pronounced dead at the scene. He was reportedly by himself at the time of the collision.
Police say no foul play is suspected. The incident remains under investigation.
