Selections Abound At Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival
By Mike Dougherty
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Gourmet food trucks lined Main Street in Manayunk Saturday for a street and food festival.
About 30 were selling top notch grub. One of them, Say Cheese Philadelphia, is owned by Alan Krawitz.
"It's a fun day. Everyone's out, having a good time. You expose yourself to a different group, you just get your name out there a little bit and hopefully make people happy with your food," said Krawitz.
Happiness was not a problem, as the long line next to his truck would suggest his work is greatly appreciated.
Among the satisfied customers was Jake who just moved here from Baltimore. He's indulging in a Philly's favorite sandwich, with a twist.
"I got a brisket cheese steak; big brisket fan. It's gooey provolone goodness and then some smoky brisket flavor," Jake explained.
Other options here range from authentic Mexican food to out of this world cupcakes making a selection, at least for this indecisive reporter, virtually impossible.
