Christie To Boy: I Loved 'Scooby-Doo' Too As A Kid

BRANCHBURG, N.J. (AP) — Day after day Chris Christie faces questions from New Jersey residents about taxes, pensions and education but one boy lightened the mood with a simpler request: He wanted to know his favorite TV show.

Christie bent over to the boy and replied with his favorite TV station instead — ESPN.

Four-year-old Tommy Zaninelli was picked to ask a question at a town hall meeting in Branchburg Thursday. Audience members had a hearty laugh at the exchange.

Christie then asked the boy what his favorite show was and it turns out that was the governor's favorite show when he was 4 years old too— "Scooby-Doo."

Christie was impressed with a great white shark shirt the boy wore and wanted to know where it came from.

Tommy replied simply, "Mom."
