PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  The folks at Meals on Wheels Delaware are preparing for "Meals From the Masters," a weekend of food, fame, and fundraising beginning April 19th.

" 'Meals From The Masters' is a weekend of culinary excellence," explains  Cassandra Boyce.  "We bring in local, regional, and national chefs.  All the proceeds then go to Meals on Wheels Delaware, providing meals for over 4,000 homebound seniors in the state."

Meanwhile, Harry Giordano of City of Hope cancer center says his organization's annual "Let Them Eat Cake" fundraiser takes place April 15th at The Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ.

"I'm a big boy, and when we decided to have this cake event I walked into my first cake event and I said, 'Oh my God, this is this fat kid's dream come true!  All the cake I want, and I get to take some home, too.  Every flavor under the sun!' "

"We actually have 29 science cafés taking place over the course of the ten-day festival," Trooskin tells What's Cooking, "and a number of those are going talk about the science of food and wine and beer and all of the different things that we love and that we as Philadelphians really treasure."
