Violent Night In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One woman was killed, and three others are wounded after a shooting in Kensington on Tuesday evening.

The incident happened at about 6 p.m. at Lee and Somerset Streets.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as police and medics responded.

Police say a 20-year-old woman was shot twice in the chest. She was taken to Episcopal Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Three others suffered gunshot wounds. They were taken to the hospital where police say they are listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. There is no word on a motive for the shooting.

Police are also investigating another shooting that happened Tuesday night in Fairmount.

The incident happened at about 7:51 p.m. at Girard Avenue and Taney Street.

A 47-year-old man was shot in the thigh. He was transported to Hahnemann University Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time. A motive is unknown.
