Allentown Police Investigate Stabbing Of High School Student

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Police are searching for suspects wanted in connection to the stabbing of a high school student in Allentown.

Police say the 16-year-old Dieruff High School student was stabbed multiple times to the torso region. The teen suffered "moderate injuries" and was conscious and alert during transport to an area hospital.

The incident happened at about 2:52 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of N. Irving Street, near the victim's school campus.

Authorities are searching for several suspects, possible three to four Hispanic males, last seen fleeing the area in a black Honda Civic or black Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Police say although a motive is under investigation, the victim appears to have been targeted.

No arrests have been made and anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Allentown police.
