Montgomery County Woman Arrested After Domestic Stabbing Incident

UPPER MORELAND, Pa. (CBS) – A Montgomery County woman has been charged with stabbing a man during a domestic dispute.

On Tuesday around 8:01 a.m., police responded to the Wellington Apartments in Upper Moreland for a reported stabbing. The 911 caller had identified himself as Myron McClinton and said he'd been cut with a knife by Candice Phillips.

When police arrived on the scene, they spoke to Phillips, who had a blood smear on her face reportedly told an officer, "He's upstairs, I did it, I did it."

Officers found the victim, McClinton, 54, lying in a pool of blood in the master bedroom of the apartment.

McClinton was transported by ambulance to Abington Hospital, where he underwent surgery for arm lacerations and is in stable condition.

Phillips, who was leasing the apartment with McClinton, was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and related charges.

A bloody knife was recovered inside the master bedroom, where it was hidden between the mattress and box spring of the bed.
