Cops: New Jersey Woman Set Fire To Home With Daughter Still Inside

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- Police say a New Jersey woman intentionally set fire to her home while her daughter and another person were still inside.

Amy Ochetto, 43, is facing numerous charges in connection with the arson fire that occurred at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday inside a home on Windwood Drive in Egg Harbor Township.

Investigators say Ochetto used a flammable liquid to intentionally set her home on fire. Authorities say Ochetto's 12-year-old daughter and another woman, 41-year-old Yeser Bekete, were inside the home when the fire was set.

Three police officers arrived before the fire department and were able to safely remove the two females from the home.

The Cardiff and Bargaintown Fire Companies then responded and extinguished the fire. It was later determined that it had been intentionally set.

Ochetto was arrested and was charged with aggravated arson, two counts of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Investigators did not immediately say why they believe Ochetto set the fire.

She is being held on $100,000 cash bail at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
