More Than 800 Customers Without Power Following Car Accident In Delaware County

CONCORD Twp., Pa., (CBS) - PECO says more than 800 customers were without power following a vehicle accident in Delaware County Monday night.

PECO says as of 5:15 p.m., 49 customers remain without power.

The accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. at 20 Hunt Meet Lane in Concord Township.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as crews worked to free one person that was trapped inside the overturned vehicle.

A PECO spokesperson says a piece of equipment connected to underground wires was struck during the accident, initially causing more than 800 customers in the area to lose power.

Officials say no serious injuries have been reported.
