WINSLOW TWP., NJ (CBS) - Police in Winslow Township, New Jersey say they may have located a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident late Saturday night that claimed the life of a 59-year old man from Chesilhurst.
Authorities say Ezekial Tomboyeke was walking home from work on Pump Branch Road around 11:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling the same direction. The vehicle partially left the roadway and struck the pedestrian.
Tomboyeke was taken to Virtua Hospital in Berlin where he was pronounced dead.
Around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, police say they located a vehicle and driver that may have been involved in the accident, although no charges have been filed yet.
A roadside memorial has been set up by Tomboyeke's at the spot where he was struck. His family says he was a father of five and that he worked six nights a week with the hope of raising enough money to bring his children to the United States from Africa.
The investigation is ongoing.
