Police Searching For Missing Man Suffering From Alzheimer's

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a missing person who suffers from Alzheimer's.

According to police, 72-year-old John Haywood Smith was last seen at 6:20 a.m. at his home in the East End section of Norristown, Pennsylvania.

He has been described as a 6-foot, 258 lbs, black male with a full head of black and gray curly hair and a slight beard. He was wearing a dark, charcoal gray fleece shirt, black pants with white stripes down the leg, brown shoes and glasses.

Police say he did not have a coat, wallet or any money when he wandered away from home, in an agitated state. Police say he is in desperate need of his medication.
