Video Released Of Suspect Wanted For Questioning About Fatal Fire In Camden
CAMDEN, NJ (CBS) – New video of a suspect wanted for a summer fire that killed two teens has been released.
The Camden County Prosecutor's Office released the video on Thursday. The clip shows a man wearing what appear to be white latex gloves walking along Thurman Street in Camden near the intersection with Newport Street.
Officials say the video was taken by a corner store's security camera at 5:08 a.m. on June 29, 2012 – just a half hour before the fire on Thurman Street was reported.
According to police, around 5:30 a.m. that morning, Quanyrah Houston, 16, and Kenneth Holmes Jr., 15, died from smoke inhalation during a fire at the home on the 1000 block of Thurman Street. While the fire hasn't been declared an arson at this time, the investigation is ongoing.
Police are offering a $2,500 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the fire.
