'Kensington Rapist' Convicted On All Counts

By Tony Hanson

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A Philadelphia jury today convicted Marcos Camacho, 32, of three knife-point rapes and one attempted rape that terrorized a Kensington neighborhood in late 2011 (see related story).

Camacho, who testified on his own behalf, was convicted of every count against him.  He admitted to consensual sex with one of the women but suggested she was lying against him because he had not paid her for the sex.

He said he had no contact with the other three victims.

But the jury rejected his testimony (see related story).

Camacho will be sentenced in June.  The maximum sentence would be tantamount to life in prison.
