Funeral Services Set For Former Philadelphia Public Schools Superintendent, Arlene Ackerman

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Funeral services have been set for Arlene Ackerman who died on February 2, 2013 at the age of 66.

Ackerman's son, Anthony Antognoli, says his mother died of pancreatic cancer in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she lived (see related story).

Ackerman was appointed as the superintendent of the Philadelphia Public School District in 2008.

Two memorial services have been scheduled, in Philadelphia and Albuquerque.

The Philadelphia service will take place at 3 p.m. on March 3, 2013 at Bright Hope Baptist Church, located at 1601 North 12th Street.
