South Jersey Students Still Feeling Effects Of Superstorm Sandy

By Jim Melwert

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)  --  Today is a day off for most school students, but not all.

It's a make-up day for students at Cherry Hill West high school.

Students at Cherry Hill West missed four days of school after Superstorm Sandy blew through.

Most students aren't excited about having a makeup day.  One student says, "It's presidents day, and I'm used to having it off every President's Day, and I have to go to school because of Hurricane Sandy."

Another student shares those sentiments, "yeah, make-up days that we have to make-up, but I'm pretty bummed out today, I really don't want to be here."

Some students though are resigned to their fate as they woke up, "you just wake up and you're like 'Ah, school,' and you don't really realize it's President's Day, so you just go to school."
