Analysis: The Attorney General Vs. The Governor In Pennsylvania
By Special Contributor Larry Kane
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - This past week brought major developments in the local political scene.
So you thought rugged political fights were over for a bit? Not so. Governor Corbett's' plan to privatize the lottery with a British company has been thrown out by Pennsylvania attorney general Kathleen Kane, who has also ordered an investigation into the Governor's role as attorney general in the Sandusky Penn State investigation.
Corbett is a Republican. Kane a Democrat. This one will get very nasty.
In Newark, New Jersey, Mayor Corey Booker is the favorite now to run for Frank Lautenberg's senate seat next year. Lautenberg will not seek reelection but Booker is not a lock with other Democrats maybe getting in like state Senate President Steve Sweeney or Senator Richard Codey.
Geraldo Rivera says he might run as a Republican.
