PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – On today’s APP-tastic and Outta SITE – Writer Rumble.

If word games aren’t your thing, but you still enjoy a little head-on competition, Writer Rumble might be right up your alley.

You’ll attack creatures by spelling words, which keeps them at bay. There’s also a multiplayer mode, letting you play against friends on Facebook or Twitter. And each writer – who, by the way, range from Poe to Homer to Charlotte Bronte – has different power ups to help them win.
