Murs says "We Are Young" is a song that hits every age group.

"Everyone loves it. This song is a very strong contender. When I looked at the list … there are some really big songs [nominated for Song of the Year] but I do think that fun. can potentially knick it but Carly Rae Jepsen has a big, big song as well."

Paramore further explained that fun. are the reason they'll be watching the GRAMMYs this year.

"I haven't been this excited about the GRAMMYs in a long time," Taylor York, the band's guitarist said. "Six nominations, that's like Beyoncé status," commented singer Hayley Williams.

Taylor isn't alone being a fan of the band. Lifehouse also expressed their appreciation for the New York-based trio.

"Man, I hope fun. wins," frontman Jason Wade told Radio.com. "I think they're fantastic. They're just channelling something that's really special right now."

Wade said while he enjoyed the band's first single "We Are Young," it was "Some Nights" that struck a chord.

"They really made me a fan when they released 'Some Nights.' I feel like he channels Freddie Mercury a little bit," Wade explained. "It's really timely and authentic. And then when you see them perform the stuff on TV live it's fantastic. We're fans."
