Delaware Valley Residents Descend on Area Supermarkets as Snowstorm Looms

By Tim Jimenez

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (CBS) -- Winter weather means a rush to the grocery store for many residents in our area.
Today was busier than usual for a Friday, according to the managers at the Wegmans supermarket in King of Prussia, Pa.

Not a lot of concern from the shoppers, but they definitely threw the "French toast" weather cliché out the window.

"We're not going to be buying milk, eggs, and bread here today," said Terry (no last name given) from Wayne, Delaware County.

"I have cranberry juice, Cocoa Puffs, tomatoes, yogurt, coffee," said Mildred, from King of Prussia.

Ryan Foster, a King of Prussia resident, says his shopping list was "cold cuts, something to drink, chips for the drink. Just normal stuff."

And Larry, also from King of Prussia, made his trip special: "The good part is, I'm here to get some oysters. Yeah, I love oysters."

And happily browsing the beer aisle was Dan from Phoenixville, who said he is looking forward to taking it easy during the storm:  "Beer, movie, pizza, the wife. I can't think of anything better."
