Philadelphia Police Searching For Suspect Responsible For Pharmacy Robbery

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police in Philadelphia are investigating a robbery at a Rite Aid Pharmacy in West Kensington.

On Feb. 4 around 8:50 a.m., the suspect entered the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 260 West Lehigh Avenue and pulled a knife before demanding money from behind the counter.

When one of the employees ran from the counter to try and get help, the suspect jumped over the counter and grabbed the second employee from behind. He held a knife to the employee's neck and forced her to open the cash register.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot toward 3rd Street.

The suspect is described as a black male who is about 5'3" and 170 lbs. He was wearing a ski mask covering the lower part of his face, a red jacket with white letters, a black and red cap and black and white jogging pants.
