Police: Pizza Deliveryman Assaulted, Carjacked After Making Delivery

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) – Police are searching for the three suspects who assaulted and carjacked a pizza deliveryman in Wilmington, Delaware.

The incident occurred in the Murray Manor Trailer Park community on Tuesday around 5 p.m.

According to police, after the 20-year-old pizza deliveryman made a delivery in the area and began to leave, he was forced out of his beige 2003 Chevrolet Impala car by three unknown males whose faces were concealed.

Police say the suspects, one of which had a firearm, ordered the victim to exit his vehicle, assaulted him after a struggle occurred and then fled from the scene in the victim's car.

The victim was taken to Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The first suspect has been described as a white or Hispanic male around 18-years-old. He has a thin build, goatee, black hair and is between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-7 feet tall. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt or jacket.

The second suspect was wearing a black vest over a lime green hooded sweatshirt and the last suspect was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black hooded sweatshirt or jacket and a black knit cap.
