Still No Arrests In Last Week's Bucks County Robbery-Murder
By Brad Segall
HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) -- One week after a man was murdered during a home invasion in Bucks County, authorities are still going over clues and hoping to get a break in the case that will lead them to the two assailants.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday morning for Joseph Canazaro. The 48-year-old man was killed last Friday by two armed men during an invasion-robbery at his home on Swartley Road in Hilltown Township (See Related Story And Video).
Canazaro's girlfriend and 12-year-old son were tied up, but managed to escape and call police.
Now, Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler says the investigation is proceeding and they still believe Canazaro was not a random victim (see related story).
"As the investigation goes forward, it's pretty plain that this isn't a group of people who are riding up and down the roads of Hilltown Township looking for their next target," he tells KYW Newsradio. "This gentleman was their target."
What authorities don't know is whether the intent was to kill Canazaro or whether it was a robbery gone bad. Police say guns and cash were taken from the house.
Police are still going over video surveillance from businesses along Route 309, believed to be the getaway route.
