Man Arrested After Police Find Moonshine Still, Numerous Firearms And Marijuana Inside Medford Home
MEDFORD, NJ (CBS) – A man has been arrested for operating a moonshine still out of his Medford Township house.
On January 23, police executed a search warrant at the home on Red Oak Trail after a month-long investigation revealed the suspect was operating an illegal distilling apparatus.
While at the home, police found multiple firearms, including two shotguns, a rifle, a muzzle loader, a pellet gun, a handgun pellet gun and two handguns. The suspect, 35-year-old Xavier S. Walter, also had an assortment of fireworks, throwing stars, marijuana and a number of smoking pipes.
Walter has been charged with Unlawful Possession of a number of weapons, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, Possession of Weapons by Certain Persons, Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Firearms while Committing a CDS Offense, Possession of an Unregistered Still and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.
He was released after posting $54,300 bail.
