Frigid Day Underway With Snow Potentially Rounding Out Week

By Katie Fehlinger

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A frigid day is underway with the high climbing to just 25 degrees – that is with sunshine.  A vicious wind chill is adding insult to injury with gusts peaking around 35 mph - that means it feels no warmer than single digits for the better part of the day.

We could see a flurry out there once the sun goes down, otherwise just clouds with the coldest night we've seen yet - the low 14.

The worst of the wind begins to taper tomorrow - still with some sun - and a high of 24.

Another weak disturbance could trigger a snow shower Wednesday night, and then we're back to partial sunshine Thursday with a high of 28.

Friday offers up our next best shot at some accumulating snow - perhaps a mix with some ice or rain south of the city with a storm approaching from the west. The high is forecasted at 31.

A wintry wind in the storm's wake Saturday will keep that high at only 30 with some sun.

We're keeping an on the storm front and will have the latest on the potential snow on Eyewitness News.
