NEWARK, Del. (CBS) – A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged after police say they found over 4,000 bags of heroin and a gun in his home.

Police say that officers executed a search warrant at the residence of Gerardo Hernandez located in the 2400 block of Olden Avenue in Newark, Delaware on Friday morning.

According to police, troopers found 4,048 bags of heroin, $5,090 in cash, a .40 caliber handgun and a loaded large-capacity rifle magazine.

Hernandez was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony and he was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institute in lieu of $50,000 cash bail.
