Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Train In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a train in Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The deadly incident happened at about 1 a.m. near the West Glenwood station in North Philadelphia.

According to investigators, an unidentified 55-year-old man tried to jump off a SEPTA Broad Street line train. The man landed between two train cars and was run over. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
