Man Dies In Police-Involved Shooting In North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One man is dead after a police-involved shooting Friday night in North Philadelphia.

It happened a little before 10 p.m. on the 1500 block of West Sergeant Street. Authorities say a 22nd District police officer shot a man once in the lower left side. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11 p.m.

Right now no word on the circumstances that led to the shooting.

There were no injuries to police.
