Del. Man Arrested For Firing Gunshots From Home Toward I-95

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- New Castle County Police have arrested a Wilmington, Delaware man they say fired several gunshots from the rear of his home toward I-95.

The incident happened late Thursday night at the home of Brian Szymanski in the 1300 block of Tulane Road in the community of Green Acres, approximately 100 yards away from I-95.

Police say they responded to reports from residents who heard gunshots and saw the 46-year-old Szymanski coming out of the back of his home with a shotgun. Reports say Szymanski then went inside, but came out again and fired more gunshots that sounded like they came from a handgun this time.

Police seized four guns from Szymanski's home. The shotgun was reported stolen earlier in the year.

No injuries were reported and no property damage was discovered.

Szymanski has been charged with reckless endangering in the first degree, discharging rifles or other explosives and receiving a stolen firearm. He was arraigned and released on $8,250 unsecured bail.
