Philadelphia Police Investigating Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Accident On Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One person was killed after being struck by a car Tuesday night, according to police.

It happened at about 9:15 p.m. on Roosevelt Boulevard near Rhawn Street. The victim was rushed to Aria Health Torresdale campus where she later died, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

There is no word on how the accident happened. The inner lanes were shut down as a result of the crash.

Police are investigating.
