Caught On Tape: Burglary At Philadelphia Radio Shack

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are searching for a suspect who was caught on tape breaking into and stealing money from an electronics store.

The robbery happened at about 9:15 a.m. on November 22nd at the Radio Shack store located in the 7000 block of Crittenden Street.

Surveillance video captured the suspect suspiciously walking outside the store. The suspect then approached the front door and initially attempted to use some type of object to gain entry to the store. After he was unsuccessful, the suspect then kicked in the glass of the front door.

Once inside, the suspect walked behind the counter and stole a cash register drawer that contained approximately $300 in cash. The suspect then ran out of the store with the drawer tucked under his arm.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 years-of-age, with a stocky build and medium complexion. He was wearing a dark ski cap, a gray-hooded sweatshirt, tan khaki pants, dark sneakers, and reddish/orange colored gloves.
