KYW's Jay Lloyd Inducted Into Broadcast Pioneers Hall Of Fame

By Dan Wing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Broadcast Pioneers honored their latest class of Hall of Fame inductees Friday night, and among the group was longtime KYW reporter and contributor Jay Lloyd.

A staple at KYW Newsradio since the inception of our Suburban Bureau back in 1972, Jay has spent the past several years keeping the Delaware Valley abreast of the best Getaways in the area.

At the ceremony, Jay said the biggest honor of being inducted in to the hall of fame is not only the recognition by friends, but also that of former foes.

"The fact is a lot of these people who have a voice in who becomes an inductee in the hall of fame are people who are your competitors. So that's the nicest thing about it."

Other inductees this year included CBS 3 Sports Anchor Beasely Reese and WIP morning show host Angelo Cataldi.
