Cops: Delaware Man Charged After Officers Find Cocaine, Marijuna Hidden In His Prosthetic Leg

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) - Police in Delaware arrested and charged a man Friday afternoon after locating cocaine and marijuana hidden in his prosthetic leg, according to authorities.

Officers, who were responding to a call for a disorderly person in Newark, located 51-year-old Jose Santiago standing in the middle of the road in the 2700 block of N. Claymont Street.

According to police, Santiago appeared intoxicated and yelled obscenities. Santiago was taken into custody without incident and an investigation revealed he had several outstanding arrest warrants.

During a search of Santiago, police found 2.5 grams of cocaine and 2.8 grams of marijuana concealed within his prosthetic leg.

Santiago was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, and disorderly conduct. He is being held at police headquarters pending arraignment.
