High Winds Bring Down Trees Across The Region

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Due to high winds ravaging the region, many trees are down.

In Philadelphia, Mayor Nutter reports anywhere from 90-100 trees down.

There are numerous trees and power lines down on Chestnut Neck Road on the border of Burlington County and Atlantic County, that are blocking the road and making it impossible to pass.

Also in Burlington County, NJ a tree fell on a house at 1207 High Street, trapping at least one person inside. A rescue was underway as of 5 p.m., but there was no word on the condition of any victims.

A number of viewers have also sent in photos from South Jersey, Bucks County and other areas of trees that have come down in the storm.
