PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - In nine days, the people of the seventh congressional district will vote for congress.
It's incumbent Pat Meehan versus Democrat George Badey. Badey says he's a real independent.
"I'd be willing to cross the line. I'd be willing to talk to the other side and work on costructive ways of making this country better rather than do what they've done the last two years since they've been in charge, which is completely shut down government in the sense of they said no to everything."

Republican Meehan says he works with Democrats.
"I've been able to work on the most important issue which is continuing to have our economy and our jobs in the economy in this region. The second thing is I actually have a number of good friends on the other side, have reached across and looked for opportunities for us to work together."
