Sixers Pick Up Fourth Year Option On Evan Turner
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Sixers announced today they have picked up the fourth year option on Evan Turner's rookie contract, which will pay him $6.7 million for the 2013-14 season.
If they hadn't picked up Turner's option, he would have been a restricted free agent at the end of the season.
Regardless of his contract status, 2012-13 is a make or break season for Turner, who has been disappointing in his two years with the Sixers, after being the #2 overall pick in the 2010 draft.
