BLOG: Barnes & Noble Pin Pad Tampering

By Jim Donovan: If you've shopped at Barnes & Noble recently and used a credit or debit card you may want to check your statements carefully. The book store company says devices customers used to swipe credit and debit cards have been tampered with in 63 of its stores in nine states.

Customers are being warned to check for unauthorized transactions and to change their personal identification numbers, or PINs. The stores are in California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
