Eagles Cut LB Brian Rolle

By Spike Eskin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles have released linebacker Brian Rolle,  and added linebacker Adrian Moten, who was with the team in training camp, to the active roster.

Offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde was signed to practice squad, and tight end/long snapper Kyle Nelson was released.

Rolle's release was likely related to his performance on special teams, as the Eagles kick coverage was one of the few areas of poor play in Sunday's game against the Giants.

Nelson's release indicates that long snapper Jon Dorenbos will remain healthy enough to play on Sunday.
