Jersey Shore Town Wants Visitors' Summer Memories For Inclusion In New Book

STONE HARBOR, NJ (CBS) – There's nothing like summer at the Jersey Shore, and in Stone Harbor, your memories can now be preserved inside a special book.

The Realty Owners Association of Stone Harbor (ROA) is producing a hardback book with photographs of visitors' summer Stone Harbor memories. Those who have lived or visited the southern New Jersey beach town are being asked to share their photos and other memorabilia—menus, maps, artwork, etc—for possible inclusion in the book.

The book will cover the town's early days (pre-1914), then the first 40 years (1914 to 1954), followed by each decade in detail and finishing up in the present day. Distribution is planned for 2014—Stone Harbor's centennial.

If you'd like to submit your photos or other items, the Stone Harbor Museum asks that you scan them and upload them to the Facebook page along with a description of where and when the photo was taken and who is in it.
