Buzz Bissinger And Steve Martorano Interview Tony Danza
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The TV series Who's The Boss went off the air in 1992. Today's High School freshman were approximately born in 1997; five year's after Tony Danza's hit show ended. He may be a hot shot actor to many, but to these kids he's just ... Mr. Danza.
Buzz and Steve talked to Tony Danza about his latest book I'd Like To Apologize To Every Teacher I Ever Had which chronicles his rookie year as a teacher at Northeast High right here in Philadelphia.
Tony takes some time out and discusses that there might be bad teachers, but the problem is more that there are discouraged teachers that quit right when they are getting good at their job. He remembers early on at Northeast High, "I was in orientation with 800 kids...and I thought we could have taken over the world with those kids."
Tony Danza is currently on tour for his latest book and traveled through both Philadelphia and Brooklyn within the past couple of weeks.
