Hundreds Expected In Montgomery County This Weekend For 2012 Lymphomathon

EAST NORRITON, Pa. - The 2012 Philadelphia Lymphomathon is this Saturday morning at Norristown Farm Park. The annual walk raises money for the Lymphoma Research Foundation.
"It's a 5k non-competitive walk where survivors, family and friends come can together as a community," says Michael Yudell, who is President of the organization's Philadelphia/Delaware Valley Chapter.
Money raised goes towards research and the foundation's programs. The organization says over half a million people in this country are currently living with the disease, the most common blood cancer in adults.
"It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning to raise money for a great cause and support and be with folks you care a lot about and want to see, either stay healthy, or survive a difficult disease," Yudell said.
This year Yudell says 25 teams have registered and you can sign up individually as well.
"Last year over 500 walkers raised about $45,000. This year we are on track to beat both of those numbers."
