PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Labor Day is one of those holidays that is bittersweet. It is a great opportunity to get together with family and friends and there is no doubt that September is one of the most pleasant months of the year. But, it also is the end of the summer and for kids it means a return to school.

For me, Labor Day presents the same major concern every year. It seems every Labor Day holiday there are auto accidents that are the result of individuals leaving a gathering after having too much to drink. What starts as a happy time ends up as a crisis situation.

You don’t want to be a statistic.
