Philly.com Editor Takes Job At TV Station In DC

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The editor of the website for Philadelphia's two main newspapers is leaving to work at the NBC affiliate in the nation's capital.

Departing Philly.com editor and vice president Wendy Warren starts her job at WRC-TV on Sept. 17.

As the station's new editorial manager for digital, Warren will oversee social media, digital platforms and the website NBCWashington.com.

Warren has spent the past four years at Philly.com, which serves both The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.

The properties are owned by Interstate General Media. Company CEO Bob Hall said in a memo to employees Wednesday that he will announce a transitional plan for Philly.com in the coming days.
