Michelle Obama To Visit Philadelphia, Montgomery County On Thursday

By Pat Loeb

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - First Lady Michelle Obama has been a frequent visitor to our area, lately. She's about to drop by, again on Thursday. This trip (unlike her recent one) is a campaign event.

The last time Mrs. Obama was here, to promote her "Let's Move" Campaign for healthy kids, three weeks ago, she was careful not to be partisan.

"This isn't a political issue," she said. "It is not a partisan issue. It's about the future we all want for our children."

Her latest campaign is called, "It Takes One," and as an Obama-Biden video makes clear, it is all about politics.

"That belief that one person can inspire another, that's powered every single one of Barack's campaigns and this time around, it's going to be more important than ever before," Mrs. Obama said in the video.

Political or not, one thing you can count on from the First Lady's visits is temporary traffic snarls; she'll stop in Philadelphia, Montgomery County and the Lehigh Valley.
