Suspicious Device At US Courthouse Turns Out To Be Knapsack Filled With Recyclables
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - What officers believed to be a suspicious device outside the US Courthouse in Center City Monday evening turned out to be a knapsack filled with recyclables, according to authorities.
Philadelphia Police and a bomb squad were called out to the scene at 6th and Market where a package was reportedly discovered outside the building.
The Philadelphia Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services were also requested at the scene.
After an investigation, authorities determined the 'suspicious device' to be a knapsack filled with empty plastic bottles and beer cans.
