Technical Glitch Temporarily Shuts Down Berks County 911 System

BERKS COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) – The 911 system in Berks County was temporarily unavailable Thursday afternoon due to technical difficulties.

Due to a phone company problem, the Berks County 911 system was unable to receive any emergency phone calls for approximately an hour.

The system was fully restored by about 2:20 p.m. and residents were able to dial 911.
