Philadelphia To Hold 6th Annual Global Fusion Festival

By Kim Glovas,

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - If you are looking for some culture in your weekend, you should head down to Penn's Landing Saturday between noon and 8 p.m. for the 6th Annual Global Fusion Festival.

The event will feature some well known artists like Grammy nominated vocalist Kenny Lattimore. Organizer Tanya Hall of Philadelphia's Multicultural Affairs Congress says there will be something for everyone.

"The event is free, it's for kids as well as friends. All age groups are welcome, all ethnic groups are welcome. It's a great time to come down and experience something from your own culture or something from somebody else's culture," explains Hall.

The festival will also have a draw for children, with balloons, face painting and coloring books, plus story tellers from different regions of the globe. The music will feature that of African, Hispanic, and Asian artists, even dance instructions for those who want to try hip hop or salsa.
