Report: Flyers Sign Shea Weber To A 14-Year, $100 Million Offer Sheet

By Spike Eskin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – After making big offers to Ryan Suter and Zach Parise, the Flyers off-season has been relatively quiet ... until Thursday night.

According to a report by TSN's Darren Dreger, defenseman Shea Weber has agreed to a 14-year offer sheet with the Flyers, worth "upwards of $100 million." The Nashville Predators will have seven days to match the offer for the 26 year-old, three time All-Star.

The Flyers have confirmed they've signed Weber to the offer sheet, but terms were not disclosed.

If the Predators decline to match, they will receive draft picks as compensation from the Flyers.

KYW NewsRadio's Matt Leon spoke to Inquirer Flyers beat writer Sam Carchidi about the Weber situation. Listen BY CLICKING THIS LINK
