Delaware, South Jersey Residents Warned Of Possible Electric Outages This Weekend
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – As Atlantic City Electric and Delmarva Power work around the clock to restore power to customers from last Saturday's violent wind storm, both companies are also carefully monitoring the weekend forecast which is calling for more severe storms.
Amidst record-breaking heat, the forecast is calling for more severe storms on Saturday and Sunday in South Jersey and Delaware, which may include damaging winds, lightning and hail.
Both AC Electric and Delmarva Power are warning all customers to be prepared for the potential of severe weather and power outages that it may cause.
Tree limbs are already weakened from last week's storm and are vulnerable to further damage that may be caused by additional wind and rain.
